4th of July in the South wins hands down!!
Ok what a crazy week, but HEY EVERYONE!!
I feel like I am living in a movie like "The Longest Ride" or "Footloose" or something everyday, the south is real. I love it.
But so much has happened this week..so I'm just going to list some fun things off that happened this week!
(Also all the libraries were closed this Monday for the 4th..so that's why I'm emailing on Wednesday this week.)
1. Zone Conference was tight!! Sis.Pitt and I won "cleanest car" out of the Hattiesburg zone, and Sis.Pitt was so stoked about it because she's been trying to get this award for 15 months now haha. Shouts out to Bro.Matt Williams for cleaning our car for us!! HAHA.
2. Bugs in the south are deadly. I'm seriously getting eaten alive. Another shout out to my District Leader for sending me with a bag full of drugs to help my swollen bug-bitten body.
3. This past Sunday I talked Brooklyn and Addye Williams into baring their testimonies in sacrament if I went up there with them. Their testimonies were awesome!! They set the tone on missionary work through the rest of sacrament! Those girls are awesome and have only been members for a few months now! Crazy!
4.I HAD THE COOLEST SPIRITUAL LESSON THIS WEEK. I was writing a note for Bro.Williams because he is leaving for 2 weeks to work at the rig and he was so nervous about it...Its a super dangerous job. And while I started the letter, I had the impression to assign him a Christlike Attribute to work on while he was gone. That night we went to their house to say goodbye and to have a short lesson. As we talked about "Charity and Obedience" (the Christlike Attributes we assigned him for the next couple of weeks) he kept expressing his thanks because the things we were teaching him and talking about was an answer to his prayers and gave him comfort and guidance going into the next couple weeks. He expressed his thanks for us being out on missions because we are helping God answer prayers to the people here needing it. Its super cool seeing how we (as missionaries) are working for the Lord, and how even though I have no idea what I am doing out here, that God is using me to help His children come closer to Christ.
5. People in the south know how to PARTY! 4th of July was crazy fun!! We rode in a super old jeep that our friend Bob rebuilt and we threw out candy in the Sumrall parade!! Which ended up being a HUGE parade and I was so surprised because I didn't think Sumrall was a big town! We met Bob at this place that we serve at in town every week, the place where we became friends with all the 80 year old folks in Sumrall haha.
Then we played volleyball and basketball with members and all the missionaries at the Oak Grove church building. Then we went to the Jackson's home and had a sick BBQ. Then we went back to Sumrall to watch the HUGE firework show at the town carnival!! THE 4TH OF JULY IN THE SOUTH IS SO FUN!! ITS SO COUNTRY LOLOL.
Well..here's some pictrues..because those are more fun than reading about my boring stories haha:
