Misty is BAPTIZED!!

Ok every Monday my mind goes crazy, and I realized in my last email I put the subject was "A hug from a preacher?!" then never really told the story..haha. But yes, after talking with a super well-known preacher in the area for a good 45 minutes, he gave us a hug and said "Thank you for what we do as missionaries." So I guess the conversation went good with him? Jk, he probably still hates mormons lets be honest. But it's all good! :)

BUT THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME!!

-Misty was baptized and her baby Isabella was blessed on Sunday!!

Her baptism was AMAZING!! And Matt (her recent convert brother) was able to baptize her!! Matt also just came home from working at the Rig (#DeepWaterHorizon status) But President Olson also came out for her baptism!!! I gave the lesson on baptism and Addie gave it on the Holy Ghost. Her talk was amazing!! You would have seriously never known she was recently baptized into the church, her whole family is awesome. And the WHOLE Williams family, including Misty, are going to the temple to do baptisms together in Baton Rouge!! It's also very weird not being close to a temple. The nearest temple is a few hours away, and it's so small that you have to come with your own Priesthood, so you have to make a big trip to go out there. BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU HAVE TEMPLES SO CLOSE TO YOU!! Visit the temple often..you have no idea how much I miss it.

-Also this week is transfers, and Sis.Pitt is leaving me :( She is needed back as an STL, so I am getting another trainer tomorrow. SO SAD, I love Sis.Pitt so freaking much.

Also a ton of our district is leaving tomorrow, including Elder Godfrey who served in my ward here- and we took this super embarrassing picture of him and Elder Abernathy and made an Ensign cover out of it. #skills The church needs to hire me already. Also if you have ever seen the "Hello" (by Adele) parody video about LDS missionaries..that is what picture they were trying to re-create haha.

I want to challenge all of you to serve someone this week. We have taught a lot about serving others in lessons, and we talked about it a lot on Sunday as well.

Mosiah 2:17- "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."

You never know who needs a helping hand, or just someone to talk too. Follow the promptings you get from the spirit!
