READ THE BLUE BOOK
Whats up fam??
Here is some random stories from this week haha:
-One night our dinner appointment cancelled, so she offered to send us pizza to our apartment, and it never showed up and she never responded to us..so awkward. Right after I got out of the shower Sis.DeCamp told me she called and ordered pizza and the pizza place closed in 5 minutes, so we ran to go pick it up....didn't even have time to do anything. Towel on my head and all. Good pizza though.
-We got asked to teach about car maintenance at a Relief Society activity......we know absolutely nothing about cars so you can already tell how that lesson went...we just tied it into something spiritual and hoped it made sense!!
-The Williams took us to the Sumrall High School football game! #litty
- We also spent a night in our car. Fun.
This week I realized the importance of having a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Without a testimony of the Book of Mormon no one can progress in the gospel.
One thing that I have come to realize from the Book of Mormon is "How strong is MY faith in Jesus Christ?"
The people in the Book of Mormon have tremendous faith. They didn't have the Bible to teach them about Christ and his life, and about all the miracles he preformed and stories he told, like we do today. They relied on their FAITH to KNOW that he was going to come visit them and that he is the Son of God. Is our faith as strong as theirs? (watch "The Testaments" by the LDS church-it is an awesome story about the people in America during the time that Christ was on Earth/ The time when the Book of Mormon was being written)
Who is Christ to YOU?
I KNOW the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know the power it holds. I know that because the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet called from God. Because I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that I can live with my Heavenly Father, my Savior Jesus Christ, and my family FOREVER. READ THE BOOK. And test God... ask Him if the book is true. If you sincerely ask He WILL reveal the truth of it unto to you. I love this gospel, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to strengthen my testimony about it out here on my mission.
