Week 1 in MS with a Baptism!!!

Yoooo, this week has been CRAZY. I don't even know where to start.
1st off, my companion is freaking legit.
2nd, my area is freaking crazy rich.
3rd, I asked Misty Williams to be baptized last night AND SHE SAID YESSS! HOLLAA.
Ok so this week:
- I currently live in Oak Grove, Mississippi... literally right next to our church building, the church is my backyard. But on Wednesday we move to Sumrall, Mississippi (same ward and everything, different apartment)
Also Brett Farve (the retired QB from the Green Bay Packers) lives down the street from us currently, yeah we will baptize him soon...
MY NEW ADDRESS IS:
7 Sparrow Lane Apt.B
Sumrall, MS 49382

-- OK ALSO THE COOLEST STORY ABOUT HOW SIS.PITT AND I ARE MEANT TO BE COMPANIONS!!
So while I was in the MTC, I met a girl who served in the MJM, and she actually sent a picture to my trainer and said "I hope you get to be companions with Sister Hunt!" ( weird because I was with my companions and everything when we were talking to her, it wasn't just me)
Then when I got to Hattiesburg, my trainer saw me get out of the car and someone told her that I would be her companion, and she freaked!
Later she also told me that she was supposed to train a different Sister, but her and President Olson didn't think it was meant to be, so we got assigned together instead and we work SO WELL TOGETHER! I was the most nervous about meeting my trainer when I got here, but I love Sis.Pitt SO MUCH! We also found out that her brother is serving in the Philippines where my dad served. So that's cool too. haha

- Some guy ran into the church building on Wednesday night and asked if any missionaries were "on-call" and he told the Elders that he has been researching our church for a while and he wanted to be Baptized. Everyone was shook. Like this doesn't happen. The Elders taught him a lesson, gave him a tour of the church, and set him up with a baptism date! CRAZY!
- We went tracting and Sis.Pitt got stuck in a fly trap on someone's front porch, and an old man came out with no teeth and talked wack for a good 60 minutes, I zoned out the whole time. People in the South can TALK. Man, I zone out on conversations so much. They don't ever shut up.
- I haven't got any nasty food yet, but for some reason I keep getting talked into taking Apple Cider Vinegar shots...like no thank you. The Elders in my district convinced me to try it, then some ward member made me take a shot of it too! Why? I don't know.
- The William's family are new converts to the church and have basically taken me under their wing!! I love them so much, and we just asked Brother Matt William's sister to get baptized last night too and she said yes!! We are so stoked!! The gospel changes lives guys!!!!
(Also, whenever I say "guys" I get weird looks because I still don't say "y'all")
- I get to go to girls camp this week!! The youth here are INCREDIBLE!! They are seriously so cute and pretty much mini missionaries.
- Elder Bluth from the Seventy spoke in the Purvis ward sacrament meeting, and we snuck in to hear Him. He gave an awesome talk about how Heavenly Father gives us trials to build our faith and to mold us into the person HE wants us to be!
- I love how religious the South is. Out in the west no one talks about religion, I love how open everyone is here about what they believe and they don't take religion lightly. I love it. EVERYONE GOES TO CHURCH. Also Baptist churches are literally everywhere you look...Like how Utah is with mormon churches, or how Seattle is with Starbucks.
LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!! But overall, I am doing great and I am loving being a missionary so far! I know I am meant to be here, and I love my companion and area so much!!
-Sis.Hunt
