Road Trip to The Burg!!
HEY GUYS!!!!!!
This past week and this upcoming week has been/ and will be sooooo hype.
-WENT BACK TO HATTIESBURG FOR COMBINED ZONE CONFERENCE AND IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER. The Oak Grove Ward Relief Society helped out with our lunch, so I was literally running around the church freaking out because I miss them all so much haha..It's only been like 4 weeks.. I ALSO GOT TO SEE ME BFF SISTER DECAMP!! But also Elder Claudio R. M. Costa came to our Zone Conference and him and his wife spoke to us pretty much the whole time, and I'm pretty sure they are my new favorite people haha. Elder Costa is awesome!!
-Also went to Mugshots in Hattiesburg while we were down there with my favorite people ever! (aka-the Williams family)
-This week we were also supposed to be in the Magee town parade in a member's antique truck, but he couldn't get it to start so we just went to the parade anyways, and I was dying, it was so redneck, I forget I live in the country sometimes. But we made a whole bunch of candy canes with our pass-along cards ties to them to hand out, and some youth were in the parade, so we ended up just giving the bag of candy and cards to them to pass out to the crowd haha
-Also so......like the new Star Wars movie came out this past weekend, and I was dying? I literally watched the trailer for the movie for the first time this week and tears might have been shed. But it's okay.....the movie will still be here in 10 months...
-I also finally gave my first sacrament talk yesterday at church. I've made it 7 months without having to give a talk, just my testimony, but it was good. It's still weird having church in a house haha but the church is still the same everywhere!
This week we have exchanges with the Jackson Zone STL's so we will be up in Madison, MS for a day this week! AND WE GET TO GO TO THE BATON ROUGE TEMPLE ON SATURDAY!!! I'M SO STOKED!!! BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!!!!!!
Also, so blessed that I am able to focus on the true meaning of Christmas while I am out here on a mission, and not being distracted by the material things of the Holidays. Remember what the first gift of Christmas is, the BEST gift, our Savior Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father gave us His son knowing all of the things he would have to go through, the trials, tribulations, and sufferings, but He loves us so much that he gave us His son. Don't forget what the Christmas season is all about, watch this video with your families to invite the spirit into your home and think of ways to serve others this holiday season like Christ has done for all of us!:
Love and miss you all so much!! I can't wait to FaceTime on Christmas!!! Literally so excited!!!!!
Talk to you all on Christmas!!! (:
XoXo,
Sister Hunt
